Classes focus on developing grounded body awareness and overall physical confidence. We work with gentle,yet powerful standing postures to center body and mind, release habitual body tension, and melt away stress. The Qigong motions are simplified to be accessible to everyone, providing a safe, modern approach to an ancient practice that is quickly and directly applicable to daily life.

This Gentle Grounding class is great for older people, as the exercises develop better balance and strength.

Medical Qigong Foundations Online Course

In this foundations course, we will focus on movement. Using the body as the primary object of inquiry, we look into physical postural habits that do not serve us in our daily life, and shift them towards more wholesome, foundational alignment for health & well-being. Each session begins with standing postures to develop mindfulness and sophisticated body awareness, followed by dynamic motion to release habitual tension and energize the body & mind. We close with stretches and meditation. Body alignment based in the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine will be systematically introduced throughout the course.

Course participants will also gain insight into basic Yin Yang theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as it applies to the body. Beginners, as well as practitioners of all levels, are welcome.
